Digital Detox , we prioritize your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how your data is protected and lists the purposes of the permissions requested while using our application.

1. No Data Collection and Sharing

Digital Detox  does not request, collect, or transmit any personal data (such as name, email address, phone number) or device identifiers to external servers. The app works completely without registration and offline. There are no data servers involved.

2. Use of Sensor Data

The app accesses your device's accelerometer, proximity, and gyroscope sensors to detect the face-down orientation and movement of the phone. These sensor readings are processed locally on-device in real-time; they are never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.

3. Local Storage (SharedPreferences)

Your focus history (successful/interrupted session counts, durations, and category statistics) and app settings are stored entirely in your device's local storage (SharedPreferences). This data never leaves your device. You can permanently delete all local data at any time via the "Reset All Stats & Settings" option on the Settings screen.

4. Purpose of Permissions

The permissions requested by the application are used for the following purposes:

• FOREGROUND_SERVICE & MEDIA_PLAYBACK: Required for the app to track session duration and play alerts in the background or when the screen is turned off.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Used to display the active focus status in the notification drawer.
• ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY: Required to manage Do Not Disturb (DND) mode during a focus session, if enabled in settings.
• VIBRATE & WAKE_LOCK: Used to trigger vibration alerts during a violation and keep the CPU active during the session.

5. Data Security

Since all operations take place locally on your device, your data is physically secure against cyber attacks or external leaks.
